TBSE – Tripura Board of Secondary Education

Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) was established in 1973, under the act known as Tripura board of secondary education act, 1973 as passed by Tripura legislative assembly. The board started its functioning from 1st of January 1976. The board is responsible for in framing rules and regulations required to run the university board, syllabus or curriculum and other necessary guidelines that are responsible for smooth and active conduct of the business board. Before all these moves, the high and higher secondary schools of Tripura came under the West Bengal board of education. This affiliation under the West Bengal board did not result in providing education to the entire lot. Soon after the setting up of Tripura board, examinations were conducted under the same. After the affiliation, the board of education decided to adopt the syllabus of central board of education for Tripura Board Madhyamik and higher secondary examinations.
